I am a Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) (Public Health) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I joined Sheffield Hallam in early 2021 as an Associate Lecturer, and was made full Lecturer within the Food and Nutrition group in August 2022. Within this role, I teach across a range of food and nutrition modules, particularly at postgraduate level, and supervise dissertation projects. I also lead of the Sheffield Hallam Appetite Research (SHARe) cluster, an interdisciplinary and collaborative research cluster exploring appetite regulation and modulation. My research focusses on eating behaviour and appetite control, disordered eating and drinking behaviour, obesity and weight management, health inequalities and social determinants of health. I am also Visiting Lecturer at Leeds Trinity University, and have previously worked as a freelance nutritionist and in supporting/technical roles with teaching and research.
